Guidelines for Admission to schools affiliated to CCIHE
Part A : General Guidelines
In supersession of all the guidelines governing admissions to various institutions under CCIHE the following guidelines are issued to regulate admissions with effect from the academic session 2020-21 & onwards. These guidelines are not applicable to institutions located outside India.
A1 : Right to Admission
Every students is eligible for Admission under the Right to Education Act. All afiliated institutions shall uphold the value of providing education and give admission to the most deserving.
A2 : Age Restrictions
Any student who is registering for the secondary examinations should be in the age group of 14 to 16 years.
There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing Class X examination. Similarly, there will be no upper & lower age limit for admission to class XII provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class XI.
A3 : Reservations in Admission
During a common admission process with limited seats 15% seats for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes and 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) shall be reserved in all fresh admissions. 3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for Differently Abled-children as per the provisions of RTE Act, 2009, read in conjunction with Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995.
A4 : Students of Open Schools / State / Central Boards
The students of State Boards/ Central Boards /NIOS may be considered for admission in class XI if vacancies exist
Part B : Procedures of Admission
B1 : Registration
- Only registered institution shall take admission with prior approval in every academic year from CCIHE.
- Registration forms shall be made available by the Principal after clearly explaining the details of admission to CCIHE and CCIHE being an autonomous board.
- Registration forms complete in all respects and accompanied by all required documents must be submitted/sent to Admissions Cell of CCIHE.
- Attested copies of the prescribed documents would be required to be submitted along with the application form for registration
B2 : Documents
- Certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births.
- A certificate that the child belongs to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/BPL wherever applicable, issued by the Competent Authority in concerned State Government/Union Government.
- Proof of Identity & Address
Part C : Registration for Examination
Guidelines for registration of Examination will be intimated along with the Time Table issued to students.
